“I always play these numbers, on the day I won I was thinking of skipping a drawing but something told me to play them,” Colleen said.
Her numbers all have a special meaning, marking milestone days throughout her life.
“The numbers all had significance, they were my birthday, my daughter’s birthday and the day I met my husband.”
Colleen’s big win comes at a transitional time in her life, she recently wrapped up her career and is easing into a life spending more time with her four children and recently born grandchild.
“I was the office manager for a union and now I’m recently retired, this is really going to help,” she said, “I have four daughters and just had my first grandchild, they’re going to be spoiled”
When Colleen saw the notification from Lotto.com that she had won, she tried to compose herself but couldn’t bring herself to accept that her life had changed forever.
“I immediately went to the claim center in Buffalo and they told me Lotto.com would contact me about my ticket, once I saw I had missed calls and emails from Lotto.com it really started to sink in.”
