As this UK Lotto draws take place twice a week the starting jackpot varies between the Wednesday and Saturday draw. A Wednesday night starting jackpot is estimated around £2.2 million but increases to an estimated £4.1 million for a Saturday night draw. The UK Lotto jackpot can rollover to the following draw if not won, however it can only rollover a total of four times. If this occurs then on the fifth draw the jackpot amount, if still not won, will roll down to the next winning prize tier. The biggest ever UK Lotto win to date took place on the 6th January 1996 when three winning tickets each split the UK Lotto jackpot worth £42,008,610, meaning that each ticket took home just over £14 million.
