Oz Lotto Results
Oz Lotto results are referred to by different names in Australia simply because the game itself is known by different names, depending on the lottery jurisdiction you happen to be in. That said, almost all lottery players know that Oz Lotto results refer to exactly the same game as Oz 7 Lotto results or Super 7’s Oz Lotto results. Whatever name is used, Oz Lotto results consist of seven main numbers from the range 1 to 45 and two bonus numbers. The odds of winning the jackpot itself are 1 in 45.3 million but, with two supplementary numbers in play and seven prize divisions in total, the overall odds of winning a prize when you check your Oz Lotto results (assuming a single entry) are around 1 in 55.

Oz Lotto jackpots are also known as Division 1 prizes, and the minimum value of the Division 1 prize pool is A$2,000,000. As with most other lottery games, if no player wins the jackpot then the prize money is added to the Division 1 pool for the next draw, and these rollovers can help to create Oz Lotto Jackpots that are well above the base level. In addition, guaranteed Oz Lotto jackpots are offered from time to time, and it was one of these which helped to generate the biggest jackpot prize that has been won so far – a whopping A$106.5 million which was shared by two winners in June 2009.

Oz Lotto Draw Information
There are two draws a week in the current Oz Lotto draw schedule and these take place every Tuesday and Saturday, which means that players never have to wait more than three days until they next get a chance to win an Oz Lotto jackpot. Players can choose to enter their selections for several consecutive Oz Lotto games in advance, so buying tickets twice each week is an option rather than a necessity.
Oz Lotto Jurisdictions
The Oz Lotto game is run by NSW Lotteries (which is in turn a brand of the Tatts Group Limited) and officially played in New South Wales (hence the NSW) and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). That said, the ability to play Oz Lotto online means that players who live outside those regions can also participate, so Oz Lotto appeals to people all over the world, and not just lottery fans who reside in Australia.
About Oz Lotto
The Oz Lotto game was launched in February 1994 and originally it was based on a 6 from 45 matrix, so players had to match six main numbers from the range 1 to 45 to win the Division 1 prize or a share thereof. These rules changed in October 2005 so that players had to select and match seven main balls from the range 1 to 45, and this reduced the odds of winning the top prize from 1 in 8.1 million to 1 in 45.3 million. It was the need to match a seventh main number which led some jurisdictions to amend the name of the game slightly – from Oz Lotto to Oz 7 Lotto, for example.
